Jake is a quintessential jock, while Brandon is something of a stereotypical "nerd." Actually, Brandon isn't entirely a nerd, he's just an introvert and intellectual fellow. Both are outstanding teachers who have gone back to teach at the high school from which they had both graduated, in the same class, no less.
